摘要： An oven 5 is disclosed as having a plurality of chambers 34 which are sealed from the ambient atmosphere, and to which gas, heated to a high temperature outside the chambers, is cirulated via line 13 to each of the chambers for admixture with gas (coming from line 16) which is cool compared to the high temperature gas, to produce in the chambers a mixture of hot and cool gas at a predetermined temperature. The hot gas is circulated to the chambers at a certain desired pressure, and the cool gas is circulated to the chambers at a certain rate of flow. Gas is exhausted from the oven via line 17 also at a fixed rate of flow. The gas pressure in the first chamber 31 to be encountered by an element 6 passing through the oven 5 is monitored at 28 and triggers an adjustment of damper 21 so changing the flow of cool gas when the pressure varies from a desired norm. This change in flow of cool gas influences the temperature which is also monitored at 20. A change in this temperature produces a corresponding change in the mixture of hot and cool gas to return the oven temperature to the desired level.

摘要： The pad is for railroad cars or off-the-road vehicles. It can be circular or rectangular, depending on its use. The circular composite cushion pad is composed of a rigid circular plate 7 having a centrally disposed opening 8 which is surrounded by two juxtaposed, resilient elastomeric annular cushions 13,17 that form a composite cushion which is bonded to one side of the plate 7. The two annular cushions each have a generally frusto-conically shaped cross-section and are dissimilarly sized so that the composite cushion has a pair of opposing stepped sidewalls.
The rectangular composite cushion pad includes a rigid rectangular plate. A first, resilient elastomeric cushion with a generally frusto-conically shaped (trapezoidal) cross-section, is bonded to the rectangular plate and at least one smaller sized resilient elastomeric cushion, also with a generally frusto-conically shaped (trapezoidal) cross-section, is disposed on top of the first cushion to form a composite cushion which extends from one side of the plate and which also has a pair of opposing stepped sidewalls. 摘要： A compact printing press is described for use in multi-colour printing of a continuous web 6 of any suitable material, such as paper, plastics, or metal. The press comprises an impression cylinder assembly 7 in juxtaposed relation to a plate cylinder assembly 8 having a plate cylinder 30 around which a belt 31 with attached printing plates is at least partially reeved for printing on the continuous web 6 as it passes between the nip of the plate cylinder 30 and the impression cylinder 9 of the impression cylinder assembly. An engraved, ink transfer roller 45 and fountain roller 46 are disposed adjacent the plate cylinder, and are specially mounted for movement relative to each other and for movement in unison relative to the plate cylinder 30. Stops are provided to limit these movements. Any suitable doctor blade SB can be used in connection with the transfer roller 45, if desired.
