Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a device, method, apparatus and computer readable storage medium of scheduling request (SR) and random access (RA) triggering for small data transmission (SDT). In example embodiments, a terminal device receives, from a network device, a configuration of one or more configured grant (CG) resources for a SDT procedure and a list of one or more data radio bearers (DRBs) associated with respective logical channels (LCHs) allowed for SDT over at least one of the one or more CG resources. After the terminal device initiates the SDT procedure in an inactive mode, if the terminal determines that a buffer status report (BSR) is triggered, the terminal device determines whether a configuration of a SR mask is to be applied for a LCH configured for SDT.

Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from improved performance. For example, communication systems may benefit from a multi-functional reference signal that allows for the harmonization of different reference signal patterns. A method, in certain embodiments, may include constructing at a base station a reference signal including a plurality of reference signal patterns. The plurality of reference signal patterns can include at least one of a default reference signal pattern or a multi-functional signal pattern for at least one of uplink or downlink. The plurality of reference signal patterns can include at least one of partially overlapping or non-overlapping resource elements. In addition, the plurality of reference signal patterns are constructed dynamically for a specific user or group of users. The method may also include sending the reference signal from the base station to a user equipment.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to encoding and decoding image information. The encoding comprises receiving a block of pixels; receiving a block of pixels; creating a set of motion vector prediction candidates for the block of pixels; and examining the set to determine if a motion vector prediction candidate is a temporal motion vector prediction, a spatial motion vector prediction or a spatio-temporal motion vector prediction. If the motion vector prediction candidate is a temporal motion vector prediction, the motion vector prediction candidate is kept in the set. Alternatively, if the motion vector prediction candidate is a temporal motion vector prediction or a spatio-temporal motion vector prediction, the motion vector prediction candidate is kept in the set. On the other hand, if the motion vector prediction candidate is a spatial motion vector prediction, it is examined whether the set comprises a motion vector prediction candidate corresponding with the spatial motion vector prediction; and if so, the motion vector prediction candidate is removed from the set.
