摘要: The present invention provides methods and devices for simple, low power, automated processing of biological samples through multiple sample preparation and assay steps. The methods and devices described facilitate the point-of-care implementation of complex diagnostic assays in equipment-free, non-laboratory settings. A microfluidic cartridge is sandwiched between a top actuation element and a bottom actuation element. Permanent magnets at the level of the top and bottom actuation elements are adapted to move magnetic beads between fluidic wells at the level of the cartridge.
