The clips (62, 68, 70) define a gap (66) substantially equal to the width or thickness of a leg (76) of the core (38). A leg of the core (38) of the first panel (22) is slid into the gap (66) and held securely therein.

摘要： A roll riser for use in staggering paper rolls during shipment generally includes a core (26) and first (22) and second (24) deck sheets each having inner (41) and outer (43) sides. The deck sheets (22, 24) include a fold line (48) along the edge of the core (26) and a fold line (56) along their mid-point. The core is preferably an open-celled core (26). The roll riser (20) is collapsible along the fold lines (48, 56) for shipment to the user or for storage so as to occupy a relatively small amount of space and then expanded by the user for use. In a first embodiment, pressure sensitive adhesive tape (58, 60, 62, 64) is secured to the inner sides (41) of the sheets (22, 24) and when the roll riser (20) is in an expanded configuration, the tape (58, 60, 62, 64) adheres to the core (26). In a second embodiment, pressure sensitive adhesive tape (66) is secured to the outer side (43) of the first sheet (22) and when the roll riser (20) is in an expanded configuration, the tape is adhered to the outer side of both the first and second sheets. In each embodiment, the tape (58, 60, 62, 64, 66) causes the roll riser to remain in the expanded configuration so as to prevent the roll riser from collapsing. Preferably the tape (58, 60, 62, 64, 66) also holds the roll riser into its collapsed condition until positively erected.

摘要： An airbag (20) for use in a cargo bay of a transport vehicle for buffering and stabilising a load, usually large paper rolls or drums, comprises two inflatable, gas tight bladders (22, 24) surrounded by a multi-ply paper container (26). The bladders (22, 24) are situated in a partially overlapping relationship with respect to one another. This enables a load with a rounded configuration to be cradled, buffered and stabilised while minimising the need for additional packing or supporting materials.

In another embodiment (Figures 5 and 8), the void filler is held in an expanded configuration by a cord or elastomeric bands (74) which are tightly stretched around the periphery of the housing and is held in a series of aligned notches (70).
