摘要： Disclosed is a press (10) particularly useful as a garlic press that includes a two-piece bowl (12) having a plurality of holes (20) through one surface thereof (e.g. the bottom surface (18)). The bowl (12) is preferably hinged along one side wall so that the bowl can be opened into two separate portions connected at the hinge (14). Each portion of the bowl includes a plurality of grooves (20) on the contacting edges of the two portions. An arm (22) is connected on the side of each bowl (12a and 12b) opposite the hinge (14), and when the two arms (22a and 22b) are brought together, the bottom surface (18) of the bowl is unified with the grooves (20) forming the openings in bottom surface (18). A plunger (30) depressed over the garlic minces the garlic or other pressable article placed in the bowl (12). Then the bowl (12) may be opened about the hinge (14) so as to permit the sidewall (19) of the openings to be exposed for easy cleaning.

摘要： La presse (10) est particulièrement utile comme presse à ail et comprend une cuvette en deux pièces (12) présentant plusieurs trous (20) ménagés à travers l'une de ses surfaces (par exemple la surface de fond (18)). La cuvette (12) est de préférence articulée le long de l'une de ses parois latérales, de façon à pouvoir s'ouvrir en deux parties séparées reliées au niveau de la charnière (14). Chaque partie de la cuvette comporte plusieurs fentes (20) ménagées sur les bords de contact des deux parties. Un bras (22) est relié sur le côté de chaque partie (12a et 12b) de la cuvette à l'opposé de la charnière (14) et, lorsque les deux bras (22a et 22b) sont amenés l'un contre l'autre, la surface de fond (18) de la cuvette est unifiée, les fentes (20) formant alors les ouvertures dans la surface de fond (18). Un plongeur (30) abaissé sur l'ail hache l'ail ou tout autre aliment analogue placé dans la cuvette (12). Celle-ci peut ensuite être ouverte autour de la charnière (14), permettant ainsi à la paroi latérale (19) des ouvertures d'être exposée afin d'en faciliter le nettoyage.
