摘要： According to the present invention there is provided a fishing line measuring device (100, 200, 300, 400) for quickly and efficiently measuring line length. The fishing line measuring device, comprises a body (30) that houses a measurement spool (18) over which the line passes before, or after, being wound onto, or from, a reel (7); an apparatus (40) measures revolutions of the measurement spool; a memory (50) for storing the number of revolutions; the reel has a reeling mechanism and a means (70) for arresting the line; and a display (3), wherein the line measurement apparatus computes a length of line wound onto, or dispensed from, the reel.
