摘要： This invention concerns a juicer (10), that is a machine for extracting the juice from fruit and vegetables. Such machines are used domestically, and also commercially in restaurants, cafes and juice bars. The invention comprises an electric motor (22), a shredder (25) mounted for rotation by the motor, a feed tube (43) to deliver pieces to be juiced to the shredder for juicing, wherein the feed tube has an inner diameter of more than 75mm, and three, or more, inwardly directed formations are arranged to constrict the interior of the feed tube. The inner diameter of the feed tube may be large enough for a typical apple to pass through it whole such as 85mm or more. The inwardly directed formations serve to prevent the insertion of a hand or arm into or through the feed tube despite its large diameter.

摘要： An electric corkscrew has a reversible motor (12) for driving a corkscrew spiral (15). A non-rotatable sleeve (16) has splines (17) that engage around a bottle cork drawn from a top of a bottle and into the sleeve and holds the cork non-rotatable when the motor is reversed. As a result, the spiral forces the cork out of the sleeve.

摘要： A small oven has a removable corrugated bottom platen (16). Bases of grooves formed by the corrugations slope towards one end of the platen when the platen is supported in the oven for use. As a result hot fat and other juices released during cooking drain off the platen making the platen less prone to contamination caused by burnt-on fat and therefore the platen easier to keep clean. The platen may have a planar cooking surface, in which case the platen is supported in the oven with the planar surface sloping towards the one end.
