摘要: The invention relates to a device placed on the operculum to monitor the metabolic state and well-being of fish through joint, simultaneous measurements of breathing frequency and physical activity via a plurality of accelerations that are coplanar (x and y axes) and normal to the operculum (z axis). The substrate is flexible and is covered with an water-resistant coating, which contains an electronic circuit with an acceleration sensor (208), a control unit (202), a microcontroller (206) configured to execute at least one activity-monitoring routine, a memory (210) and a battery (204). Data are collected via an external unit (201) which can optionally process them in a complete or partial manner. This type of measurement can be processed jointly with another type of measurement, obtained from other sensors of environmental parameters.

摘要: The present invention provides hybrid nanofibers that comprise a mixture of components of a honey and a synthetic polymer. The invention further provides a method for producing the hybrid nanofibers. The hybrid nanofibers of the invention can be used in tubular prostheses for nerve reconnection following peripheral nerve axotomy, in surgical meshes, dressings and sutures, to improve the reinnervation, and therefore the functional recovery from injuries in diverse organs such as the skin (e.g. burns, ulcers, surgical incisions, fistulas, etc.).

摘要: Disclosed is an ergonomic swimming paddle, comprising a main plate (1) and an auxiliary bendable plate (2), removably connected to the main plate (1). In this way, although greater force is needed to execute each stroke, at a fixed swimming speed, the overall stroke power increases. The ergonomic swimming paddle has additional advantages, such as boosting hand position perception and preventing abrupt changes of direction of the upper limbs, thereby improving swimming efficiency in terms of hydrodynamic forces. The paddle is suitable to be used by swimmers of all levels and ages to improve their sporting performance.
