摘要:
A method of thermodynamic assessment of flow through a turbomachine 10 having a compressor 14, 15, comprising: receiving sensor readings from a plurality of acoustic sensors 42 located about an intake 12 for the turbomachine upstream of the compressor; and receiving pressure and stagnation temperature readings for the flow into the intake. A static temperature is determined for the flow into the intake and an average velocity of the flow over a flow area of the intake upstream of the compressor using the acoustic sensor readings. A mass flow rate of the flow through the intake is determined using the average velocity of the flow and the stagnation pressure.

A system for generating a representation of a situation is disclosed. The system comprises one or more computer-readable media including computer-executable instructions that are executable by one or more processors to implement a method of generating a representation of a situation. The method comprises receiving input data regarding a target population. The method further comprises constructing a synthetic data set including a synthetic population based on the input data. The synthetic population includes a plurality of synthetic entities. Each synthetic entity has a one-to-one correspondence with an entity in the target population. Each synthetic entity is assigned one or more attributes based on information included in the input data. The method further comprises receiving activity data for a plurality of entities in the target population.

A flow machine 10 having a flow passage 22 and an air flow measurement system comprising a plurality of acoustic sensors 42. The acoustic sensors 42 comprise at least one acoustic transmitter 80 configured to transmit an acoustic waveform 46 through the airflow passing through the flow passage to an acoustic receiver 82. At least one of the acoustic sensors 42 is rotatable relative to one or more other acoustic sensor.

A system and method of non-intrusive anemometry. The system comprises an acoustic transmitter disposed at a boundary of fluid flow and first and second acoustic receivers adapted to receive transmissions from the acoustic transmitter. A processor is coupled to the acoustic receivers to determine the time of arrival of the transmission at the acoustic receivers. The acoustic transmitter and acoustic receivers are arranged such that the acoustic transmitter is upstream from the first acoustic receiver which is in turn upstream from the second acoustic receiver.

The invention relates to method, an apparatus and the use thereof of visualization of areas of the tissue insufficiently supplied with blood, in particular in the event of an acute stroke, by evaluation of local fluctuations of a BOLD signal comprising the following steps: - producing and recording of BOLD signal data by means of an apparatus (8); - passing on the BOLD signal data to a data detection device (10) by way of at least one interface; - sending the BOLD signal data received from the data detection device (10) to an evaluation device; - pre-processing BOLD in a first evaluation device (12) for image recognition; - applying a time delay analysis to the BOLD signal data of at least one voxel in a second evaluation device (14) in order to calculate a time dependent positive and negative phase shift (I1, 12) of the BOLD signal data of at least one voxel, and - assigning a reference value which reference value is an estimated time delay between the BOLD signal data of at least one voxel and the entire average time course of a selected region during the recording of the BOLD data in order to estimate a modified BOLD signal data which are used to determine at least one area of the hypoperfused tissue.
