The mounting box (100) comprises a longitudinal centre axis (X-X), a bottom part (10) and a top part (20). The top part (20) is formed of a tubular body portion (21) with a first end (21A), said first end (21A) being provided with radially outwardly from the body portion (21) extending flange means (22). The bottom part (10) is adapted to be fitted at least partly into the top part (20) so that an opening (O1) is formed through the body portion (21) into a mounting space (M1) formed in the interior of the mounting box (100). The bottom part (10) and the top part (20) are connected through first connection means (50) positioned in connection with the bottom part (20) and second connection means (60) positioned in connection with the top part (20) so that an axial (X-X) position of the bottom part (10) in relation to the top part (20) can be varied in order to vary an axial (X-X) length of the mounting box (100) between a maximum axial length (L1) and a minimum axial length (L2).

A mounting box comprising a box case (2) and a fastening mechanism for fastening the box case (2) into an opening in a wall (4). The fastening mechanism comprises a collar element (6) and a pressing element (8) adapted in use to be rotated about a rotation axis relative to the box case (2). The pressing element (8) is adapted to receive a threaded part (105) of a headed screw (10) for moving the pressing element (8) in an axial direction. The mounting box comprises a neck member (12) which in its unbroken state connects the pressing element (8) and the box case (2). The neck member (12) is manufactured from the same material as the pressing element (8) and the box case (2). The neck member (12) is adapted to be broken by axial movement of the pressing element (8).

An electrical installation box assembly for installation into an opening in a wall (30), comprising a fastening part (10) comprising a tubular side wall portion (11), at least one flange portion (12), and at least one flexibly mounted projection (13, 14) extending radially from the side wall portion and adapted to engage the wall in its resting position when the fastening part is inserted inside the opening in the wall such that the at least one flange portion is in contact with the wall and a box case (20), wherein an outer diameter of a side wall portion of the box case is equal to or smaller than an inner diameter of the side wall portion of the fastening part such that upon inserting the box case into the fastening part, the box case locks the at least one projection of the fastening part into its resting position.

A mounting box adapted to be installed into an opening in a wall by pushing the mounting box into the opening from a first side of the wall. The mounting box comprises a box case (2) defining a mounting space for accommodating an electrical component, and having a box opening (22) providing in use an access into the mounting space from the first side (41) of the wall (4), and collar means (6) attached to the box case (2) and adapted to be in contact with the first side (41) of the wall (4), the collar means (6) defining a collar plane adapted to be parallel to a wall plane defined by the wall (4). The box case (2) comprises connection means for laterally connecting the mounting box to adjacent identical mounting boxes, the connection means being an integral part of the box case (2).

A mounting box comprising a box case (2) defining a mounting space for accommodating an electrical component, and having a box opening (22) for receiving the electrical component into the mounting space, an edge of the box opening (22) defining a box plane, and fastening means for fastening the mounting box to a wall structure with at least one fastening screw (5). The fastening means is adapted to receive at least one fastening screw (5) in a predetermined fastening position in which the at least one fastening screw (5) extends in a fastening angle (α) with relation to a normal vector of the box plane, the fastening angle (α) being in the range of 10° to 80°.
