摘要: A method for testing a two-phase cooling device (20) is provided. The cooling device (20) has a housing (22) surrounding a cavity (24) and a cooling medium (32) within the cavity (24). The method comprises: controlling a temperature of ambient air of the cooling device (20) such that the cooling medium (32) within the cavity (24) transitions from its liquid state to its solid state and/or from its solid state to its liquid state, while monitoring a first temperature (T1) of the cooling device (20); determining whether the monitored first temperature (T1) fulfills a predetermined criterion; and determining that the cooling device (20) is overfilled with the cooling medium (32) if the predetermined criterion is fulfilled.

摘要: The present invention is concerned with a cooling process for electrical or electrochemical charge storage devices. According to the invention, a charge storage device with a vertical arrangement and fluidal interconnection of modules is proposed that allows for the distribution, evaporation and recycling of a coolant based on a single two-phase fluid cooling circuit. The device is adapted for an equal distribution of cooling fluid throughout the modules of the arrangement to support an equal temperature distribution by means of immersed two-phase dielectric liquid cooling. The latter provides the same temperature of cooling fluid for all cells in the device as long as the fluid remains in the saturated state at the same pressure.

摘要: The present invention relates to a cooling apparatus for a medium voltage or high voltage switchgear, the cooling apparatus comprising:
- an evaporator section;
- a fluid conduit; and
- a condenser section.
The evaporator section is configured to surround at least part of a current carrying contact. The fluid conduit fluidly connects the evaporator section to the condenser section. A section of the fluid conduit is formed within the evaporator section and is electrically insulating and is configured such that fluid can contact an outer surface of the current carrying contact. The cooling apparatus is configured such that in use a working fluid in the evaporator section is heated to a vapour state, and the vapour is transferred by the fluid conduit to the condenser section. The vapour in the condenser section is condensed to the working fluid. The condensed working fluid is passively returned via the fluid conduit to the evaporator section.-
