摘要： A method is provided for determining the initial or starting dose of vitamin D compounds when used for the treatment of renal osteodystrophy or secondary hyperparathyroidism. The starting dose is based in part on the patient's baseline PTH. The invention also provides for the administration of an initial dose of a vitamin D compound wherein the dose is determined following the method of the invention.
