Abstract: A gauge hanger for deployment in a wellbore using a setting tool is disclosed. The gauge hanger (12) comprises a switchable magnet (32, 34) for attaching the gauge hanger to a wellbore wall, and a coupling assembly (30) for coupling the gauge hanger to the setting tool (14). The switchable magnet (32, 34) and the coupling assembly (30) are arranged to be actuated by a common actuator such as a motor (24) in the setting tool.
