摘要:
A harvesting header (40) adjustably supported on a crop harvesting machine. The machine has a header height adjustment system for controlling the height of the header relative to the ground. The harvesting header (40) has a flexible cutterbar assembly (48) extending lengthwise in a lateral direction relative to the normal direction of travel of the header (40) to present multiple cutterbar assembly sections. A plurality of laterally spaced apart pivoting support arms (44, 46) support the flexible cutterbar assembly (48) so that the cutterbar is operable to flex along the length thereof in response to changes in terrain as the header (40) is advanced along the ground. A header height sensing system (41) is provided to send a cutterbar position signal to the header height adjustment system so that the header height is adjusted when the cutterbar assembly flexes beyond a predetermined position. The header height sensing system includes a plurality of sensors each operably coupled to one of the support arms (44, 46) to sense the angular position thereof. The header height sensing system (41) includes an electrical comparator circuit which provide a single cutterbar position signal for each cutterbar assembly section.

A harvesting header (40) operable to harvest a crop. The header has a flexible cutterbar assembly (48) extending lengthwise in a lateral direction relative to the normal direction of travel of the header. The cutterbar assembly is supported from a plurality of laterally spaced apart support arms (44,46) which are pivoted about a laterally extending axis so that the cutterbar assembly can flex along the length thereof in response to changes in terrain as the header is advanced. A pair of stops cooperate to define a variable range of angular movement of the support arms and a corresponding variable range of generally vertical movement of the flexible cutterbar assembly. A first one of the stops is configured to engage at least one of the support arms and thereby define a first upper limit of the range of angular movement, and second one of the stops is adjustably spaced from the first stop and configured to engage the at least one support arm and thereby define an adjustable second lower limit of the range of angular movement. The second can be selectively positioned in an arm-locking position, in which the at least one support arm is concurrently engaged by both stops and the cutterbar assembly is thereby generally restricted from moving vertically, and a plurality of spaced apart arm-swinging positions defining corresponding distinct ranges of angular movement for the support arms.

A harvesting machine includes a harvesting header (40) with a header frame (42), a cutterbar assembly (48) attached to the header frame along the length thereof and configured to cut a crop, and a draper assembly (50) positioned behind the cutterbar assembly and operable to receive severed crop material from the cutterbar assembly. The draper assembly includes a center fore-and-aft draper (54) that delivers crop material rearwardly to a feeder house of the harvesting machine and oppositely spaced side drapers (52) that deliver crop material laterally to the center draper. The fore-and-aft includes a draper frame (244,252,256) and a draper belt (250) supported on the draper frame to present an upper rearwardly moving run for conveying the crop rearwardly. A crop material deflector (284) is attached relative to the draper frame in front of the draper belt (250). The deflector (284) extends in the fore-and-aft direction from in front of the draper belt (250) to a location over the draper belt, with the deflector operable to restrict severed crop delivered from each of the side drapers (52) from flowing to the other side drapers.

A harvesting header (40) operable to harvest a crop. The header has a header frame, a flexible cutterbar assembly (48) mounted to the header frame to extend lengthwise in a lateral direction relative to the normal direction of travel of the header and which is operable to flex along its length in response to changes in terrain as the header is advanced; and a draper assembly supported on the header frame behind the cutterbar assembly to flex therewith. The draper assembly includes a pair of side drapers (52) and a fore-and-aft draper (54) located between the side drapers, the side drapers being configured to receive severed crop materials from the cutterbar assembly and convey the materials laterally to the fore-and-aft draper. The fore- and-aft draper is configured to move the severed crop rearwardly, and includes a draper frame swingably supported on the header frame at a pivot to project forwardly therefrom. The fore-and-aft draper includes a draper belt supported on the draper frame to present a rearwardly moving run for conveying the crop rearwardly, the draper frame having a forward margin which is coupled to the cutterbar assembly such that the draper frame is caused to swing relative to the header frame as the cutterbar assembly flexes up and down. The fore- and-aft draper also includes a counterbalance mechanism (210) coupled between the header and draper frames to counteract the weight of the fore-and-aft draper about the pivot so as to reduce the load of the fore-and-aft draper on the cutterbar assembly.

The forward gearbox is supported on the outer support arm (46) adjacent the cutterbar assembly so that the forward gearbox shifts with the flexible cutterbar assembly.

A harvesting header includes a header frame, a flexible cutterbar assembly, and a draper assembly. The cutterbar assembly is mounted to the header frame and includes a plurality of skids. Each of the skids has a lower margin configured to engage the ground such that the skids cooperatively cause flexing of the cutterbar assembly along the length thereof in response to changes in terrain as the header is advanced. Each skid presents a skid surface extending from the lower skid margin.
