    摘要: A process is set forth for removing oxygen from an oxygen-containing feed stream comprising passing the oxygen-containing stream through a multi-layered adsorption bed comprising a kinetic based oxygen-selective adsorbent at the feed end of the bed and an equilibrium based oxygen-selective adsorbent at the product end of the bed wherein regeneration of the bed includes a "hybrid repressurization" scheme which involves simultaneously repressurizing the bed with a portion of both the product stream and the feed stream.

    摘要: A particle separator for use in a conduit for removing solid particles from a particle-laden gas. The particle separator comprises a particle collecting chamber, an inlet port for directing the particle-laden gas into the particle collecting chamber, and an inner deflector positioned at least partially within the particle collecting chamber and downstream of the inlet port. The walls of the particle collecting chamber may include a protrusion protruding toward the inside of the particle collecting chamber cooperating with the inner deflector to recirculate the gas within the particle collecting chamber. The particle separator may also include a sump for storing solid particles that have been captured.

    摘要: Dimethyl ether (18) is produced from synthesis gas (10) in a single step by contact with a bifunctional catalyst system having a methanol synthesis functionality and a methanol dehydration functionality while maintaining (12) a methanol concentration greater than 1.0 mole %, preferably 4 to 8 mole %. The presence of the methanol increases the stability of the bifunctional catalyst system, particularly when the process is conducted in the liquid phase. The methanol can be provided by recycling (12a) byproduct methanol.
