摘要: A process for producing rosin ester which comprises esterifying pure disproportionated rosin with an alcohol and dehydrogenating the formed ester in the presence of a dehydrogenation catalyst; another process for producing rosin ester which comprises heating purified rosin and an alcohol in the presence of a disproportionation catalyst to effect disproportionation and esterification at the same time, dehydrogenating the reaction product in the presence of a dehydrogenation catalyst, and adding an organophosphorus compund to the reaction system; a process for producing colorless rosin which comprises subjecting purified rosin to disproportionation and dehydrogenation at the same time in the presence of a catalyst and adding an organophosphorus compound to the reaction system; and another process for producing colorless rosin which comprises dehydrogenating pure disproportionated rosin in the presence of a dehydrogenation catalyst. The invention provides rosin ester and colorless rosin remarkably improved in the characteristics such as color tone, odor and stability as compared with the conventional products.
