The device (9) is located in an intermediate position between the base of the posts and the upper spacer, which is designed to absorb the impact due to heavy goods vehicles, and the device connects a longitudinal rail (2) to the posts themselves (1). The device forms a spacer (9) specifically designed for light vehicles, and moves rearward under the impact force by sliding transversally; the device calibrates and gradually absorbs the impact force and therefore the decelerations transmitted to the vehicle and to its passengers.
