摘要： The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition or health functional food composition comprising a Perilla frutescens fermented extract for prevention or treatment of a sleep disorder. In addition, the present invention relates to a composition or a fiber or fragrance composition comprising a Perilla frutescens fermented extract for sleep improvement. In addition, the present invention relates to a method for treatment of a sleep disorder, the method comprising a step of administering a Perilla frutescens fermented extract to a patient with a sleep disorder. In addition, the present invention relates to a use of a Perilla frutescens fermented extract for use in the preparation of a composition for treatment of a sleep disorder or for prevention or treatment of a sleep disorder. Therefore, in the present invention, the Perilla frutescens fermented extract, compared with an unfermented Perilla frutescens extract, significantly shortens sleep latency and significantly increases total sleeping time, and thus the Perilla frutescens fermented extract is effective as a composition for prevention, alleviation, or treatment of a sleep disorder or for sleep improvement, and can be also effectively used in a treatment method for a sleep disorder.
