摘要： The present invention concerns a method for providing QoS management in a packet-based transport network and a network element (8) adapted to provide QoS management in a packet-based transport network. The method comprises the steps of extracting (2a) out of a data traffic (3) comprising one or more data flows (4) transported via the transport network features characterizing a type of traffic (5), comparing (2b) the extracted features against predetermined traffic patterns related to different types of traffic (5) and calculating (2c) a classification result based on the comparison.
