The invention relates to a copolymer having amphiphilic blocks comprising at least one first hydrophilic block, obtainable from n-butyl acrylate and hydroxyethyl methacrylate monomers, and a second hydrophobic block likely to be obtained from a methyl methacrylate monomer. Said copolymer is found to be particularly advantageous for use as an additive for manufacturing a polymer filtration membrane, particularly a PVDF membrane, particularly by means of a phase inversion method.

The present invention concerns an amphiphilic diblock copolymer consisting of: - 40 to 60% by weight, relative to the weight of the copolymer, of a hydrophilic block comprising at least one unit from an n-butyl acrylate monomer and at least one unit from a hydroxyethyl methacrylate monomer, and - 40 to 60% by weight, relative to the weight of the copolymer, of a hydrophobic block comprising at least one unit from a methyl methacrylate monomer. The present invention also concerns the use of said copolymer as an additive for producing a polymeric filter membrane.
