摘要: To provide an ultrasound probe operation system and method that can improve usability for the user. This system is for operating an ultrasound probe 111 and is provided with: sensor operation portions 11, 12 for operating the ultrasound probe that acquires ultrasound echo images 21, 22 of a blood vessel 4; and a control portion 1 that controls operations of the sensor operation portions. The control portion may switch the arrangement of the ultrasound probe using the sensor operation portions between a first arrangement for acquiring an image of a cross section in the transverse direction of the blood vessel and a second arrangement for acquiring an image of a cross section in the longitudinal direction of the blood vessel.

Additionally, recessed portions extending axially are formed in an outer circumferential surface of the tubular member in such a manner that the cross sectional shape perpendicular to the axial direction of the tubular member is a shape in which at least a portion of the outer circumference of an annular shape has been recessed radially inward.
