摘要: An actuator control system for an assembly including moveable components such as a passenger seat (200). The system includes a first motor (102) having a first rotating shaft (104), a second motor (106) having a second rotating shaft (108), and a plurality of gear assemblies including a gear (114) disposed between the shafts. A controller (112) operates to move each gear independently between a neutral position and a rotationally engaged position with one of the rotating shafts. Each gear is coupled to a flexible shaft (116) rotationally coupled to an actuator for moving the moveable component. In use, a singular controller and the two motors control N number of actuators.

The system further includes a motion controller (116) configured to access present positions of the actuators corresponding to a present sitting position of the seat, access future positions of the actuators corresponding to a future sitting position of the seat, receive outputs from the first and second sensors, reconcile the outputs received from the first and second sensors, and cause dynamic motion to be executed by the seat controller to transition the seat from the present sitting position to the future sitting position.

摘要: Systems, methods, and articles of manufacture for controlling a compression action of a trash receptacle (11) of an aircraft lavatory (10). Generally, the systems, methods, and articles of manufacture disclosed and described herein facilitate controlled opening and closing actuations of a flap (14) of a trash receptacle (11) of an aircraft lavatory (10), and a compression action after detection of at least the closing actuation of trash deposits in the trash receptacle to increase the interior volume of the trash receptacle. By controlling the closing actuations of the flap and compression actions of trash deposits, hygiene and sanitation of the lavatory are improved, odors are prevented from dispersing throughout the lavatory and/or cabin of the aircraft, and fire hazards are reduced.
