摘要： Apparatus for absorbing energy when impacted by a vehicle includes a plurality of vertical, spaced supports (12). Positioned between the supports (12) are energy absorbing, collapsible, pressurizable modules (40) having two connected module segments (42, 44). Each module segment (42, 44) has an outer wall (46) in the form of a truncated cone extending away from an end of the energy absorbing module (40) and diverging outwardly in the direction of the other module segment.
