A suspension and a method of preparation are provided herein. The suspension comprises a continuous aqueous phase (a), a substance (b) that is capable of transport through the aqueous phase thereby resulting in Ostwald ripening of the substance, and a dispersing agent (c). The dispersing agent comprises the reaction product of at least one monomer (i) and at least one additional monomer (ii). The at least one monomer (ii) is represented by the general formula (1) wherein R is hydrogen, an alkyl group or an aryl group, R1 is an alkyl group having at least 2 carbon atoms, k is 2 to 4, and n is at least about 10. The at least one additional monomer (ii) has unsaturated functionality and contains at least one carbonyl group. The dispersing agent is present in the suspension in an amount sufficient to limit Ostwald ripening of the substance (b) in the suspension.

An emulsifiable concentrate (EC) is provided. The EC includes an active component, a solvent component, and an emulsifier component. The active component is present in an amount of from 20 to 90 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the emulsifiable concentrate. The solvent component includes 1,2- cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid diisononyl ester. The emulsifier component is present in an amount of from 5 to 15 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the emulsifiable concentrate and includes an anionic surfactant, a non-ionic surfactant, and a surfactant including at least one ethylene oxide block. Moreover, the active component is dissolved in the solvent component.
