The present invention relates to N,N'-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-1,7-di(2,6-diphenyl-phenoxy)perylen-3,4;9,10-tetracarboximide, N,N'-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-1,6-di(2,6-diphenylphenoxy)perylen-3,4;9,10-tetracarboximide, to a method for preparation and use thereof. In particular, the present invention relates to the use of said compound(s) in color converters for improving the luminous efficacy of white-light emitting diodes. The present invention also relates to the use of these color converters and to lighting devices comprising at least one LED or OLED and at least one color converter.
