Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing diphenylmethandiamine, comprising the steps of a) reacting aniline with formaldehyde in the presence of an acid, b) neutralizing most of the acid with ammonia and/or aqueous ammonia solution, c) separating the reaction mixture from step b) into an aqueous and an organic phase, d) neutralizing the remaining part of the acid in the organic phase with aqueous alkali hydroxide solution, e) separating the reaction mixture from step d) into an aqueous and an organic phase, f) treating the aqueous phase obtained in step c) or optionally the unified aqueous phases from steps c) and e) with at least one oxide or hydroxide of an alkaline earth metal, and g) separating the ammonia obtained in step f).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for obtaining at least one aromatic amine from a water and the liquid mixture containing the at least one aromatic amine by extraction using at least one nitroaromatic compound in an extraction column (1), wherein a raffinate flow substantially containing water and an extraction flow containing the at least one nitroaromatic compound and the aromatic amine are formed. The extraction column (1) is divided into two sections (5, 7) by a separating wall (3), wherein in case of a liquid amount to be separated that is smaller than a minimum cross-sectional load of the entire extraction column (1), the liquid mixture to be separated is supplied to only one of the sections (5, 7) of the extraction column (1) separated by the separating wall (3). The invention further relates to a method for producing an aromatic amine and to a device for separating a water and a liquid mixture containing at least one aromatic amine by extraction using at least one nitroaromatic compound, comprising an extraction column (1).
