Septum (28) is resiliently restrained relative to housing (26) with septum (28), and housing (26) configured to accept a standard male luer lock (13) having luer tip (18) which penetrates septum (28) through resealable opening (44) to extend within housing (26), and luer locking flange (20) of luer lock (13) extending about housing (26). The septum (28) includes disk shaped upper portion (38) covering opening (44), lower portion (40) spaced from housing (26) and extending downward from disk shaped portion (38) into passageway (36) defined by housing (26), and annular skirt (52) to attach septum (28) to housing (26). Connector (10) exhibits satisfactory leak pressure after multiple connections and disconnections to luer lock (13) and long periods of indwell of luer tip (18).
