    摘要： A lasing apparatus (10) having a body (12) of relatively low expansion material and an electrode (16) of relatively high expansion material connected to the body (12) by a seal (26). The seal comprises a plurality of corrugations the axis (c-c) of which is orthogonal to the plane of the seal/body interface (I) so as to allow radial expansion and contraction of the electrode (16) relative to the body (12) without inducing stresses at the interface (I) thereby avoiding failure of the seal.
