摘要: A pump system (10) comprises a bilge pump (12) powered by an electric motor (14) and a controller (16) controlling the electric motor (14). The controller (16) is configured to determine if the pump system (10) is malfunctioning. In response to determining that the pump system (10) is malfunctioning, the controller (16) is configured to control the electric motor (14) according to a predetermined routine configured to rectify the malfunction. A pump system (100) comprises a first bilge pump (12) including a first electric motor (14) configured to power the first bilge pump (12) and a first controller (16) controlling the first electric motor (14) and a second bilge pump (102) including a second electric motor (105) configured to power the second bilge pump (102) and a second controller (104) controlling the second electric motor (105). The first and second controllers (16, 104) are in signal communication with one another.

摘要: The invention relates to a system (300) for a marine vessel includes a first peripheral device (16) including a controller (20), and a second peripheral device (26, 28). A first serial bus (30) connects the controller (20) to the second peripheral device (26, 28). At least one sensor (3, 8) is coupled to the controller (20) via a second serial bus (4, 24). The first peripheral device's controller (20) can do one or more of the following: automatically control switches (14) in the first peripheral device (16) in response to information from the sensor (3, 8); stage the first peripheral device (16) upon start-up of the system (300); diagnose a malfunction of the first peripheral device (16) and control the second peripheral device (26, 28) in response to determining that the first peripheral device (16) is malfunctioning; and/or report a status of the first peripheral device (16) over the serial bus (4, 24, 30).
