摘要： An earth boring drill bit 11 that includes a cutting cone 62 with a cutting disk 66. Compacts 50 are inserted within the disk 66 having a chisel shaped end set flush with the cutting disk periphery 67. The compact crests 50 and cutting disk periphery 67 form a generally seamless cutting surface. The cutting cone can 62 further include cutting teeth 72 thereon also having flush mounted compacts 50B. The compacts 50, 50B can be made from a material such as cemented carbide, hardfacing, tungsten, tungsten alloys, tungsten carbide and the cutting cone 62 made from steel.

摘要： In one aspect, a drill bit is disclosed that in one embodiment may include a bit body, a rotating cutter on the bit body, and a metallic seal between the bit body and the rotating cutter that includes a first seal member, a second seal member having a first end in sealing contact with the first seal member, a second end fixed relative to the first end and a bias member between the first end and the second end that adjusts the load on the first seal member in response to external load applied on the drill bit.
