摘要： A casting mold (30,70) is provided for forming a biomedical device including an ophthalmic device such as a contact lens. The casting mold includes an anterior mold section (30) and a posterior mold section (70), wherein one of the mold sections includes a plurality of radially extending ribs (90) and the remaining mold section includes an annular shoulder (44) for engaging an outer end (94) of the ribs (90) to define a mold cavity (13).
