    摘要： The invention relates to a portable power tool including a manually actuable safety lever (19) and an inertial safety system for activating a brake (16, 17) of the tool to provide a more effective safety arrangement and comprises a first energy storage spring (27) for applying the brake (16, 17); a safety lever (19) operable to release the spring (27) and apply the brake (16, 17) when the safety lever (19) contacts the hand of an operator during "kick-back"; a second energy storage spring (35) releasable by a displaceable inertia mass (21) effectively independent of the safety lever (19) in the energised position wherein the brake (16, 17) is in the inoperative condition; the second energy storage spring (35) being provided to operate a striker and locking mechanism (30, 29 and 28, 25) to release the first energy storage spring (27) and apply the brake (16, 17) upon occurrence of "kick-back".
