摘要: Polyolefin multilayer pipes consisting at least one of the layers of a β-nucleated propylene homopolymer and/or β-nucleated copolymers from 90.0 to 99.9 % by weight of propylene and 0.1 to 10.0 % by weight of α-olefins. The pipes are to be classified in ring stiffness class ≥4. The pipes are suitable for non pressure pipe applications, preferably for outdoor use, for above as well as underground drainage and sewerage pipe systems, surface water pipes, pipes for cable protection, pipes for cold climate conditions and for indoor use, soil and waste water pipes.

摘要: The invention relates to novel propylene polymers with improved properties especially with improved stiffness and impact strength comprising propylene homopolymers or propylene block copolymers with 90.0 to 99.9 wt% propylene and 0.1 to 10 wt% α-olefins with 2 or 4 to 18 carbon atoms, or mixtures thereof, wherein the propylene homopolymers or propylene block copolymers are β-nucleated propylene polymers, whereby the β-nucleated propylene homopolymers have an IRτ ≥0.98, a tensile modulus ≥1500 MPa at +23° C and a Charpy impact strength, ≥3 kJ/m2 at -20° C using notched test specimens, and the β-nucleated propylene block copolymers are polymers having an IRτ of the propylene homopolymer block of ≥0.98, a tensile modulus ≥1100 MPa at +23° C and a Charpy impact strength of ≥6 kJ/m2, at -20° C using notched test specimens. The propylene polymers with an improved property spectrum are suitable for producing molded parts in a pipe system, such as pipes and fittings, inspection chambers, pipe ducting systems, extrusion or compression molded sheets and the like.

摘要: Industrial polyolefin piping system with improved stiffness, impact strength for use at high service temperature, comprising single- or multilayer pipes, fittings, chambers, valves and vessels, consisting of β-nucleated propylene homopolymers with an IRτ ≥ 0.98 having a tensile modulus ≥ 1500 MPa, a Charpy impact strength, notched, at +23 °C ≥ 30 kJ/m2 and a Vicat B temperature > 90 °C and a Heat Distortion Temperature > 100 °C. The industrial polyolefin piping system is suitable for chemical plant constructions comprising single- or multilayer pipes, fittings, chambers, valves and vessels with improved stiffness, impact strength and high service temperature, preferred for conveyance of natural gas, dangerous liquids and/or toxic liquids.

摘要: Polyolefin coated steel pipes with high dynamic fracture toughness of the coating of the steel pipes during installation handling and in service, consisting of a steel pipe core, optionally an intermediate foamed plastic material, and a polyolefin coating of β-nucleated propylene copolymers whereby a test polyolefin pipe fabricated from the β-nucleated propylene copolymer has a critical pressure of >25 bars and a dynamic fracture toughness >3.5 MNm-3/2. The polyolefin coated steel pipes are suitable for off-shore transport of crude oil or gas products or district heating applications.

摘要: Single- or multilayer propylene polymer pipes and pipe components for pipelines with improved resistance to rapid crack propagation made from a propylene homopolymer with a melt index of 0.05 to 10 g/10 min at 230 °C/2.16 kg or propylene block copolymer from 90.0 to 99.9 wt% of propylene and 0.1 to 10.0 wt% of α-olefins with 2 or 4 to 18 carbon atoms with a melt index of 0.05 to 8 g/10 min at 230 °C/2.16 kg or mixtures thereof, wherein the propylene homopolymers or propylene block copolymers are β-nucleated propylene polymers, and the propylene polymer pipes for pipelines made from the β-nucleated propylene homopolymers have a rapid crack propagation characterized by a critical temperature of -5 to + 40 °C and a critical pressure ≥3 bar below the critical temperature and the propylene polymer pipes made from β-nucleated propylene block copolymers have a rapid crack propagation characterized by a critical temperature of -25 to 0 °C and a critical pressure ≥3 bar below the critical temperature. The propylene polymer pipes with improved resistance to rapid crack propagation are suitable for the transportation of fluids and pressurized fluids such as natural gas, water and the like.
