摘要： A product package comprises a box (170), and a two-way humidity control device (150) for controlling headspace relative humidity in the product package. The humidity control device contains a humidity control agent for controlling the relative humidity (RH) within a packaged consumer product, such as a food, pharmaceutical, herb, or any other suitable consumer product.
The humidity control device is integrated with the product packaging. For example, a base layer of the humidity control device comprises an inner wall of the box. A permeable layer of the humidity control device comprises a material permeable to water vapor and impermeable to aqueous solutions; and the humidity control agent is arranged between the base layer and permeable layer. The permeable layer is coupled to the inner surface of the box by an adhesive.
