摘要： A system for identifying one or more locations of a video clip within video content comprises means for producing segments of the video clip each segment derived from a plurality of frames. The segments are compared to segments of video content. From the comparison a first measure of similarity is prepared at virtually displaced temporal positions of the video clip and the video content. A filtering arrangement filters the measure of similarity to exclude potential matches based on temporal separation of positions of high similarity. A means is then arranged to compare the video clip to the video content at the positions identified as candidate matches. In this way, apparent matches can be removed based on likely knowledge of the content such as likely repetitions of a video clip within larger video content.

摘要： A system for controlling the presentation of audio-video programmes has an input for receiving audio-video programmes. A data comparison unit is arranged to produce at intervals throughout the programme a value for each of f features of the audio-video and then to derive from the features a metadata value, the metadata value having M dimensions, the number of dimensions being smaller than the number of features. A threshold is applied to the metadata value to determine points of interest within the audio- video programmes and a controller is arranged to control retrieval and playback of the programmes using the interesting points.

摘要： A system for processing audio-video metadata for each of multiple portions of AV content to produce an output signal for an individual user, comprises an input for receiving multi-dimensional metadata having M dimensions for each of the portions of AV content and for receiving individual parameters for one or more of the M dimensions for the individual user. An input is arranged to receive general parameters for each of the M dimensions. A processor is arranged to determine a rating value for the individual for each portion of AV content as a function of the multi-dimensional metadata, the individual parameters and the general parameters to produce an output signal, wherein the function includes determining if a confidence value for each individual parameter is above a threshold and an output is arranged to assert the output signal.
