The electric compressor is also characterized in that the stator (7) is press-fitted in a cylindrical body (6) composed of a material having a linear expansion coefficient close to that of the stator (7), and that the cylindrical body (6) is partially press-fitted at a plurality of areas in the inner wall (10) of the housing (2).
