    摘要： An embodiment of the present invention is a printing apparatus (1) including: a printing head (3) that includes a nozzle ejecting ink for printing on a printing medium conveyed in a conveyance direction; a carriage (500) on which the printing head is mounted and that reciprocally moves in a main scanning direction; a sliding member (530) attached to the carriage such that the carriage can change a position in a vertical direction; and a guide member that includes a first surface with which the sliding member is brought into contact and a second surface as a back surface of the first surface and guides the movement of the main scanning direction of the carriage, in which the sliding member (530) includes a first regulation unit facing the second surface in a position away from the second surface at a predetermined distance.

    摘要： A printing apparatus comprises a wiper configured to be movable to a wiping position capable of wiping an ejection opening surface of an ejecting head in which ejection openings for ejecting liquid are formed, and to a separated position separated from the ejection opening surface; and a cap configured to be movable to a capping position at which the ejection opening surface is capped, and to a separated position separated from the ejection opening surface; and an applying part configured to apply a treatment liquid to the wiper. The cap does not move in a state where the wiper is wiping the ejection opening surface, and the cap moves in a horizontal direction, and the processing liquid is applied to the wiper from the applying part by the movement of the wiper.
