摘要: An actuation mechanism (40) of a fire suppression system (20) includes a first input (42a) having a first tension, a second input (42b) having a second tension, and an output (44). When the actuation mechanism (40) is in an inactive configuration, the first input (42a) and the second input (42b) cooperate to maintain a third tension in the output (44).

摘要: An actuation mechanism (40) for use in a fire suppression system includes a housing (54) and a plunger (44) operably coupled to and movable relative to the housing (54). A tension member (42) is operably coupled to the plunger (44) and applies a tension to the plunger (44) in a first direction (A). A force generating component (72) is operably coupled to the plunger (44). A stopper (62) is movably coupled to the housing (54) and is operable in combination with the force generating component (72) to apply a force on the plunger (44) in a second direction (B).

摘要: An activation system (40) includes a housing (42) and a pulley (44) mounted to the housing (42). The pulley (44) is rotatable about an axis (X). An activation member (54) is movable between a first position and a second position relative to the pulley (44) to selectively couple to the pulley (44). When the activation member (54) and the pulley (44) are coupled, rotation of the pulley (44) about the axis (X) is restricted. A first tension member (48) is operably coupled to the activation member (54) and a first tension of the first tension member (48) maintains the activation member (54) in engagement with the pulley (44). At least one second tension member (76) is wrapped about at least one of the pulley (44) and the activation member (54) and has a second tension acting on the at least one of the pulley (44) and the activation member (54).

摘要: A tension indicating device (200) for a fire suppression system device includes a body (202) including a first end (204) and a second end (206). At least one of the first and second ends is configured to be operatively coupled to a tensioned line (208, 210) of a mechanical fire detection line of a fire suppression system. The tension indicating device further includes a piston (220) configured to be slidably disposed along a length of the body, the piston configured to be operatively coupled to the tensioned line of the mechanical fire detection line. The piston is provided with a movable indicator (230). Responsive to the tensioned line being provided with tension, the piston moves towards the end of the body, thereby causing the movable indicator to correspondingly move to indicate a tension in the tensioned line of the fire suppression system.

摘要: A hood assembly (200) is disclosed. The hood assembly includes a housing (201) having first and second walls (202, 204) arranged opposite to each other, the first and second walls (202, 204) being vertically oriented with respect to a floor on which the hood assembly is placed. The hood assembly (200) includes a mechanical fire detection line (104; 220) configured to detect presence of a fire within the housing (201). The mechanical fire detection line (104; 220) is disposed between the first and second walls (202, 204), and extends beyond the second wall (204). The hood assembly further includes a restricting element (240) disposed on the second wall (204), such that the mechanical fire detection line (220) extends beyond the second wall (204) of the hood assembly (200) by passing through the restricting element (240). The restricting element (240) is adapted to allow movement of the mechanical fire detection line (220) along a first direction, and restrict movement of the mechanical fire detection line (220) along a second direction opposite to the first direction.

摘要: A trigger device (200; 290; 300) is disclosed including a body (202) including first and second ends (204; 206). The first end (204) is configured to be operatively coupled to a tensioned line (110) of a mechanical fire detection line (104). The trigger device (200; 290; 300) includes a piston (220) configured to be slidably disposed along a length of the body (202), the piston (220) configured to be operatively coupled to the tensioned line (110). The trigger device includes slots (250; 350-1, 350-2) provided on the body (202) configured to receive actuation cables (150, 152; 260; 360-1, 360-2). The trigger device (200; 290; 300) further includes a coupling element (270) configured to be coupled to the piston (220) and configured to slidably move responsive to movement of the piston (220). The coupling element (270) includes a free end configured to move through the slots (250; 350-1, 350-2) to selectively couple with the actuation cable (150, 152; 260; 360-1, 360-2). Responsive to the piston (220) moving towards the second end (206) of the body (202), the coupling element (270) moves out of the slots (250; 350-1, 350-2) to decouple with the actuation cable (150, 152; 260; 360-1, 360-2).
