The invention also provides a resin composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a crystallline polypropylene and 30 to 40 parts by weight of a copolymer resin comprising a copolymer of a cyclopentadiene compound and an aromatic hydrocarbon or a hydrogenated product thereof, and a stretched molded product therefrom. The invention also provides processes for producing the opacified molded products.

An opaque and pearlescent, laminated and stretched product comprises a layer (A) and a layer (B) overlaid on and laminated by melt-adhesion to at least one side of the layer (A). The layer (A) forms a uniform layer comprising 97 to 70 % by weight of a crystalline polypropylene and 3 to 30 % by weight of a cyclopentadiene type petroleum resin having a softening point of 160 °C or higher and stretched in at least one direction. The layer (B) comprising a crystalline polypropylene whose crystalline melting point is higher or lower than that of the crystalline polypropylene forming the layer (A) by less than 10 °C.

A process for producing a stretched article having a pearly gloss comprises the steps of melt-extruding the above composition at a temperature at or above the softening point of the petroleum resin, cooling the extruded composition to form an unstretched raw material, and then stretching the raw material 200% or more in at least one direction at a temperature which is below the crystalline melting point of the polypropylene and is at or below the softening point of the petroleum resin.
