    摘要: In some embodiments, a vehicle or utility vehicle pedal assembly (10) and method are disclosed. The pedal assembly (10) may be modular and readily adaptable for use on vehicles and utility vehicles having either an electric motor drive system or an internal combustion engine drive system. Thus, in some embodiments the module includes a base (11), a plurality of pedals (13, 14) coupled to the base (11), and an output regulator (16) coupled to the base (11). Other embodiments disclose a parking brake engagement assembly (44) comprising a toothed element (53), an engagement element (50) selectively engageable with the toothed element (53), and an arm (52) to the control the engagement between the toothed element (53) and the engagement element (50). Yet other embodiments disclose a non-contact sensor (88) coupled to the brake system (13) to selectively illuminate the brake lamps (8) of a vehicle or utility vehicle. Further embodiments disclose a timer (01) coupled to the brake system to selectively illuminate the brake lamps (8).
