摘要:
The invention relates to a method enabling the complete combustion and oxidation of the mineral fraction of combustible waste contained in an appliance for treating waste by direct combustion-vitrification. Said method comprises the following steps: the waste is introduced into the appliance in order to then be deposited on the surface of a molten glass bath contained in the appliance; the waste is subjected to combustion and oxidation on the surface of the glass bath; the combustion products are incorporated into the glass, during which process the glass bath, the combustion products, and optional vitrification adjuvants added to the glass bath are heated until a pasty liquid mass is obtained; and said mass is removed from the appliance and left to cool in order to obtain a confinement matrix. The inventive method is characterised in that the complete combustion and oxidation of the waste is carried out both during the step for introducing the waste, and during the step wherein the waste is subjected to combustion and oxidation at the surface of the glass bath, due to the presence of holding means for holding the waste over a pre-determined length of time, under oxidising vapours emanating from gases introduced into the appliance and/or due to the addition of oxidants to the waste during said two steps.
摘要:
The invention concerns a method for making a glass frit for confining by vitrification a substance comprising at least one oxidizable or reducible chemical species, as well as a method for confining by vitrification said substance. The method for making a glass frit includes a step of incorporating in a raw glass frit an oxidoreduction couple whereof the type and the amount enable said at least one chemical species to be maintained in its oxidized or reduced state. The confining method includes mixing and hot melting the resulting glass frit and the substance to be confined. The invention enables the confinement of pollutants such as radionuclides, metals and metalloids to be optimized. The substance may be nuclear waste or a material derived from incineration of household refuse.
