The diameter of the reinforcement elements of the carcass ply is less than 1 mm and these reinforcement elements are formed by wires having a diameter strictly greater than 0.16 mm. The reinforcement elements of the carcass ply are metal cords, advantageously non-hooped cords, which, during so-called permeability testing, have a flow rate of less than 20 cm3/mn, and the radial distance (D) measured in the equatorial plane between the outer surface of the tread and the inner surface of the tyre is less than 32 mm.
