The invention relates to a tire (10) which includes a top (12) having a tread (22), two flanks (24), and two beads (26) mounted thereon. Each flank (24) connects each bead (26) to the top (12). A casing reinforcement (34) is anchored in each bead (26) and extends into the flanks (24) up to the inside of the top (12). The casing reinforcement (34) includes a casing layer (44) that includes casing reinforcement elements (46) having a mean fitting interval (P) strictly greater than 1.5 mm. The casing layer (44) includes an elastomer matrix (54) in which the casing reinforcement elements (46) are embedded. Each casing reinforcement element (46) includes: a wire-like element (56); and a sheath (58) coating the wire-like element (56) and including at least one thermoplastic polymer composition layer (60).
