摘要： A brake system for motor vehicles with a pneumatic brake booster (5) has two chambers. A lower pressure is applied to one of the chambers and a higher pressure is applied to the other chamber. At least one of the chambers may communicate with a pneumatic pump. Means (49) are provided to switch the pump (51, 61, 65) on and off depending on the pressure in the chamber (4, 7) of the brake booster (5) with the pump is associated.
