    摘要: The present invention relates in particular to a fiber-application machine comprising a sturdy two-way application head for obtaining good lay-up quality. The head comprises a compaction system having at least one roller (5, 5'), and a guide system (4), the compaction system is assembled on a support module that is mounted so as to be pivotable about an axis (A9), between a first position and a second position for applying fibers in a first direction (SI) and a second direction, respectively. The support module, having a generally U-shaped cross section, comprises a central portion and two side walls (52a), locking means mounted on the guide system (4) being suitable for acting on each side wall in order to lock the support module in the two positions thereof, and for taking up the forces induced by the compaction system, the roller being assembled at the lower edges of the side walls.
