摘要： A magnetic recording medium comprising a magnetic recording layer, an intermediate layer, and a masking layer which are successively formed on a non-magnetic supporting body made of a thermoplastic resin. The magnetic recording layer and the intermediate layer are buried inside a part of the non-magnetic supporting body, the surface of the intermediate layer is smoothly flash with the surface of the non-magnetic supporting body, and the masking layer masks the surface of the intermediate layer and the surface of the non-magnetic supporting body. The masking layer of the magnetic recording medium has an excellent masking capability and an adhesion to the magnetic recording layer, and high design property irrespective of the kind of magnetic particles used for the magnetic recording layer.
