    摘要： A modular assembly system for a portable hemodialysis unit, comprising: a dialysis unit including a dialysis unit housing that contains components for performing hemodialysis, including a dialyzer mount with fluidic connections for a dialyzer, a blood pump mounting section with pneumatic connections for operation of one or more pneumatically driven blood pumps to circulate blood through a dialyzer when mounted in the dialysis unit housing, one or more pneumatically driven dialysate pumps to circulate a dialysate through the dialyzer, a dialysate heater, and one or more electronic controllers for controlling the one or more blood and dialysate pumps; and a pneumatic power unit within a pneumatic power unit housing configured to provide pneumatic power to the dialysis unit via mating pneumatic ports between the pneumatic power unit housing and the dialysis unit housing; wherein the pneumatic power unit housing is reversibly connectable to the dialysis unit housing via a mechanical and pneumatic connection to the dialysis unit.

    摘要： There is disclosed herein a blood line connector for a blood circuit of a hemodialysis unit, comprising: a tube connection end and a patient access connection end, the tube connection end being arranged to sealingly engage with a blood circuit tube, the patient access connection end including: a member having an internally threaded portion arranged to engage with an externally threaded patient access to establish a fluid tight connection with the externally threaded patient access; and a pair of locking arms extending rearwardly from the member toward the tube connection end, the locking arms each having a finger depression portion and a barbed portion, the locking arms being arranged to engage with a mating connector on the hemodialysis unit at the barbed portions to lock the patient access connection end in sealing engagement with the mating connector so that an exterior surface of the patient access connection end forms a fluid tight connection with the mating connector when making a press-in type connection, and being arranged so that the barbed portions disengage from the mating connector when the finger depression portions are urged toward each other.
