    摘要： Garment e.g. hose transport apparatus consists of a plurality of carriers (16) movable around an endless path and a pair of stationary rails (18', 18") extending alongside the path; garments e.g. hose are supported partly by the carriers (16) and partly by the rails. The parts of the garments supported by the rails (18', 18") are pushed along them by a push rod (31) which moves closely beside the rails, the rod (31) being the operative part of a displacing mechanism (30) with which each carrier (16) is provided. The mechanism (30) is affixed to the associated carrier and the push rod when operative is in a raised position suitably aligned with the carrier. Thetransport apparatus is particularly adapted for incorporation in a hosiery line closer.
