摘要： A continuous method for producing moisture curable hot melt adhesive compositions includes feeding a molten mixture of an organopolysiloxane, silicone resin, silane crosslinker, catalyst and solvent into an extruder and removing the volatiles. By using a continuous process it is possible to control the non-volatile content and produce a consistent product. Upon exposure to moisture the holt melt adhesive composition cures resulting in adhesion between two substrates.

摘要： A storage-stable composition is disclosed which is adapted for imparting water-repellent properties to masonry materials. Said composition comprises an aqueous emulsion which has a continuous aqueous phase and a discontinuous organosilicon phase. The emulsion is formulated from components comprising: (A) a water-insoluble alkoxysilane of the average general formula Rn-Si-R'(4-n) wherein n is a number from 1 to 2, R is a C5 - C20 monovalent hydrocarbon radical and R' is a C1 - C4 alkoxy group; (B) a hydrogen-functional polysiloxane having at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule, at least five siloxy units per molecule and a kinematic viscosity between 0.5 x 10-6 and 1,000 x 10-6m2/sec. at 25 °C; (C) an emulsifier; and (D) water. The discontinuous organosilicon phase comprises components (A and B) and the continuous aqueous phase is water. Components (A and B) are present in the organosilicon phase in a weight ratio of (A):(B) such that said emulsion is physically and chemically stable after storage for six months at room temperature, or for six weeks at 50 °C.
