摘要： A reciprocating engine, particularly for selfpropelled vehicles, in which the working fluid is steam generated directly in the cylinders (1) of the engine. For this purpose, each cylinder (1) is provided with a generator (8) of microwaves having a frequency which rapidly vaporises a predetermined quantity of water, preferably atomized, introduced into the cylinder (1).
